Established in the year 1994, the Civil Engineering Association (CEA) of SASTRA University has been actively involving
in exposing the future Civil Engineers, to the challenges of the profession.
CEA aims to bridge the gap between the academic knowledge and real life practice. A number of conferences, symposia, guest-lectures are organized by the association, which attracts participation from eminent scholars and distinguished practioners of the profession. Special lectures on various topics of academic relevance, emerging trends and latest innovations in the field are organized on regular basis.
The main objective of forming the CEA is to promote professionalism and to develop future Civil Engineering leaders. The association aims to foster professional development by exchange of knowledge and experience. With this in mind the CEA organizes lively interactive sessions between the eminent scholars and the faculty members and students of SOCE. In addition to guest lectures class room training, industrial visits and site visits are arranged on periodic basis so that a wide range of technical and management aspects of Civil Engineering are covered as a part of the learning experience.
The CEA is thus a platform for various activities and an information source for all budding Civil Engineers of SASTRA University aiming to achieve greater heights in their career.
